The mothers and fathers who come to AWC very often find themselves in their own high-stakes scenario, grappling with fear and uncertainty. They’re navigating a complex landscape filled with emotional, financial, and social pressures.... and they carry a profound awareness that the decisions they make next impact themselves, their families and their futures, and that pressure alone can be crippling.
This year’s video shares the story of a young couple who faced all those pressures, and more. They were recently married and expected life to be filled with time to grow in their love for each other. They were hoping to financially find their footing before adding anything new to their plate, and suddenly, all that changed with an unexpected pregnancy
Like many of our clients, they felt overwhelmed, unprepared, and afraid. Their carefully laid plans seemed to crumble before their eyes. And the choice they would make next wasn’t clear.
That’s when AWC stepped in to help.
As you watch their story unfold, you will quickly realize why we wanted to share it with you tonight. Their story is incredible, and it is truly a Mission Impossible story, and is filled with an uncertain future that really is continuing to unfold even today.
Through every up and down this couple faced, our team remained beside them, providing not just education and resources, but the compassion and encouragement and community they needed to keep moving forward even through the unthinkable.
That kind of dedication to our families is why I’m honored to stand up here year after year asking all of you to support this mission.
